These terms govern your use of halfbid.lol, operated by the party identified in the Legal notice. By placing a bid you accept them. The exact bidding mechanic, prices, and the guaranteed credit rule are described in full on the Rules page, which forms part of these terms — read both.
halfbid.lol is a paid public leaderboard. You pay to have a URL or @handle displayed at a rank determined by the amount paid. It is an entertainment/novelty product: not an investment, not a lottery, not a financial product, and not gambling — see Rules for why the credit mechanic is built the way it is.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority where you live, if higher) and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use this site. By paying, you confirm both of those things and that you are authorized to use the payment method you provide.
All payments are processed by Stripe. Once a payment is confirmed, it is final — see Rules for the specific exception (guaranteed halfbid credit, which is site credit, not a cash refund). We rely on public-auction-style pricing under Spanish/EU distance-selling law (art. 103 TRLGDCU) as the basis for payments being final; nothing here overrides any consumer right that cannot be waived by contract under mandatory law that applies to you.
You may list a product website or an X/Twitter @handle. You may not list: chat or invite links (Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Signal, or similar), adult/sexual content, content that is illegal where you or we are based, content that infringes someone else's rights, or malware/phishing links. Link shorteners are rejected — submit the real destination. Tracking, affiliate, and referral query parameters are stripped automatically.
Basic checks run automatically at submission time, but this is not full human moderation. We can remove any listing that violates these terms at any time, without a refund of the charge that placed it (though any halfbid credit already earned on that payment is unaffected). If you spot something that should not be on the board, email the contact address in the Legal notice.
You keep whatever rights you have in the URL, handle, and description you submit. By submitting it, you grant us a license to display it publicly on the leaderboard and in click-through links for as long as your listing remains active. You confirm you have the right to submit it and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
The site is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular rank or visibility will drive any particular result for you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited (for example, liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where applicable).
We may update these terms, the Rules, or the prices/formulas described there. Changes apply from the moment they're published on this site; they don't retroactively change a payment you already completed.
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your own country of residence, and can bring a claim in the courts of your own domicile as well as Spain's. The European Commission also runs an Online Dispute Resolution platform for EU consumers, at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
